I created this web site to expand on my collecting and researching the history of the Old West (and New West) and California in particular over the past forty years or so. Time goes by, and before long you realize you have accumulated a bit of information others may find interesting. Materials appearing here came from my research and reading over the years, and through participating in group efforts to gather information in particular areas. I have always enjoyed the outdoors and hiking, and so you will see that reflected here, and I have discovered much about my family which has fortunately been preserved and handed down to my generation. I hope to facilitate this handing down, not only within my family, but to a larger audience. I have been active in Toastmasters and enjoy public speaking and will carry my research subjects to interested groups upon request.
